Andes Integración Logística manages to be the first international digital forwarder to obtain ISO certifications

The company managed to obtain three official certifications from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), which focused on quality management, information security, and the supply chain.

Andes Integración Logística managed to obtain three official certifications from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), which focused on quality management, information security and the supply chain. In this way, the entity became the first international digital forwarder to obtain said recognitions.

Specifically, the certifications delivered were ISO 9001, 28000 and 27001. The first focuses on the quality of the service provided to customers and the second is related to the process of transporting the merchandise or product, ensuring the safety and that it arrives at its destination correctly. In turn, the third deals with security and computer procedures of the company, including data from it and from customers.

“The latter is very important for Andes since as a forwarding company its focus is on new technologies, which work with customer data and high standard IT processes. In this way, Andes became the first international digital forwarder to obtain these certifications”, highlighted the company.

For her part, Katherine Machuca, in charge of Human Resources at Andes Integración Logística and who led the certification process, commented that “it is very satisfying to work in a company with defined processes, on which all team members are aware and work based on fulfilling them. This way the daily work becomes more fluid because we are all with the same objective”.

It is worth mentioning that ISO certifications are obtained through a process of gathering information, meetings and planning, which also contemplates the review of procedures in each area of ​​the company.

“Just getting the certification is part of the great responsibility and importance of this, since every year the Organization carries out an inspection which establishes whether or not they maintain the certifications,” the Andes Integración Logística news report said.

“During the process we were able to correct and improve some processes and realize it in order to ensure a top quality service for the clients we serve in the 7 countries where we are present: Chile, Peru, Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Paraguay and the United States. United”, Machuca added.

Finally, the company dedicated to maritime, air and land transport pointed out that within future plans it is aiming for new certifications, which would be related to sustainability and care for the environment.
